Where to Find and How to Enable Douyin Visitor Settings

Currently, there are two visitor features available on Douyin, namely "Browsing Records of Published Videos" and "Homepage Visitor Function." However, the latter is still in beta testing and only a few users have received it. Through this feature, users can view records of strangers and friends who have visited their Douyin profiles, similar to the visitor function on QQ Space. Let's explore how to enable these two features:

1. Douyin Browsing Record Settings Tutorial

Every time we upload a video on Douyin, we can easily find the browsing records. Below is a screenshot of the page. After publishing a video, click on the "113 Browsing" data in the bottom left corner.

After clicking, you will see the browsing records, which display the people who have viewed your videos. However, this "Browsing Record" feature is only visible to mutually following accounts. If you have enabled this feature, the other party can see that you have viewed their content. These records are limited to the past 7 days.

Douyin Homepage Visitor Feature Settings Tutorial (Note: Only available to a few users under beta testing)

1. Open Douyin and click on "Messages." In this section, you will find a notification in "Interactive Messages" that shows six people have visited your profile. Click to enter.

2. Click on "Homepage Visitors" to proceed.

3. To enable the visitor record, simply click on "Enable Visitor."

4. The following image is a screenshot of the visitor record after enabling it. Please note that only accounts with this feature enabled can view each other's records, even if they are strangers. They can also become friends on Douyin.

1. Open Douyin and click on "Me" in the bottom navigation bar. Then, click on the "three horizontal lines" in the top right corner.

2. After opening it, click on "Settings" at the bottom.

3. Click on "Privacy Settings" to enter this page.

4. Click on "Browsing Records" to disable it.

Steps to Disable Homepage Visitor Record

If you wish to disable the visitor record, click on "Visitor Settings" in the top right corner and switch off the toggle below to turn it off directly.

In addition, you can also turn off the visitor record notification. Go to "Settings" > "Notification Settings" > "Homepage Visitors," and then toggle off the switch. You have the freedom to choose.
